Feeling the Love

15"x30" Acrylic on Canvas, May 2010Hello all my art fans!

Today I am very thankful for all the support I am experiencing concerning my artistic endeavors. I’ve made more sales this week than I usually clear in six months, and I am so happy that all my hard work is paying off! Here are the four pieces that have very recently found forever homes.

On another note, I am still working on a Very Zoe Wonderland (though that title may change), Mrs. Fenton’s Garden (I’m pretty sure of that title), and Orchids and Orangutans (absolutely).  I just painted a happy little puffer fish and am now finishing up a yellow koi for Zoe’s. I’m hoping I can finish up all of the little creatures tonight, and be well on my way to completion by morning. Mrs. Fenton’s still has a ton of work to be done, including 75% of the background, which is mostly big beautiful lush tropical plants, and the main subject herself.  The other I’ve barely begun to work on, but hopefully will also make major progress tonight.

Art at the Market is on Saturday, that’s this Saturday the 17th! It’s open to the public 9am-2pm, and also coincides with yummy farmers market breakfast! You will find my tent on Draper Rd between She-Sha and the Media Building. So be sure to swing by to taste and see some local goodness!

Thanks for reading, see you Saturday!

Love,

Jessey

Ah, Spring, How I Love Thee!

Ah, Spring, how I love thee!

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, flowers are growing, trees are becoming green again.  It really is a great time of the year.  It is the season of new ideas, fresh thinking, and putting ideas to paper and canvas. I am so ready to finish up some work, so I can begin new things. I’ve got a couple of new faces to paint, and a variety of other subjects I want to explore. It’s so exciting! The gloom of winter is over, and gone are my migraines (knock on wood)! Watch out studio, here I come!
